MOORHEAD – Minnesota State University Moorhead head women's basketball coach Karla Nelson has announced that former Dragon Sarah Jacobson has joined the MSUM coaching staff for 2022-23.
 
A Fargo, N.D., native, Jacobson played for MSUM from 2019-21, starting every game in those two seasons.
 
In 2019-20 Jacobson averaged 8.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, starting all 30 contests. She  led the team in 32.0 minutes played.
 
In 2020-21, during a Covid-shortened year, Jacobson started all 13 games and was third on the team in scoring at 10.7 points per game. She was second on the team with 5.8 rebounds per game.
 
Jacobson started her collegiate playing career at North Dakota State, where she played from 2016-18.
 
At Fargo Shanley High School, Jacobson was the 2016 Miss Basketball in North Dakota and also was a four-time all-state honoree. She set a new Class A career record with 2,371 points scored.
