MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams recorded 13 victories at the 35th annual Ron Masanz Classic which was held on Wednesday in Moorhead, Minn.

For the Dragon women,
Rachel Schumacher had a great day in the Dave Bergstrom high jump, winning the event with a jump of 5-7 1/4, which is an NCAA qualifying height and tied for 17
th-best in Division II this season. That is a personal-best jump for the senior from Bismarck.
Sophomore
Aislin Anderson won the women's 1,500 meters in 4:55.57 which was a near a personal-best. Freshman
Grace Dorsher won the 5,000-meter run in 19:08.75 which was a personal-best.
Junior
Robynn Curry won the women's 200 in 25.09 and captured the 400 in 58.11.
Sophomore
Ashley Hokanson won the pole vault at 13-1 1/2, which was just one inch away from a season-best.
Sophomore
Adnew Stueven won the John Alin men's 1,500 meters in 3:55.59, which was a personal-best, with senior
Nadir Yusuf taking second in 4:05.54.
Junior
Ty Dawkins won the 200 in 21.41, which was a personal-best and second-best in the NSIC with junior
Shaquiel Higgs second in 21.62, which was also a personal-best. Freshman
Elliott MacLennan was third at 21.62.
Junior
Shyrone Kemp won the long jump at 23-7 1/2. Sophomore
Travis Joseph won the men's high jump at 6-7 1/2 with senior teammate
Chris Cook second at 6-7 1/2.
MSUM's 4x100 relay, consisting of junior
Shaquiel Higgs, junior

Shyrone Kemp and
Elliott MacLennan, was victorious in 41.29. MSUM's 4x400 relay won in 3:29.36 with Major, Higgs, senior
Kory Powell-Oliver and sophomore
Jerome Crayton. Freshman
Colby Larson won the javelin at 95-3.
Senior
Caitlin Pritchett was second in the women's high jump with a jump of 5-4 1/4. Senior
Steena Larsen was second in the discus with a toss of 139-8 which was close to her personal best. Sophomore
Adla Serrao was third in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.61. Junior
McKenzie Maki was second in the 800 in 2:28.77 with Anderson third in 2:32.00.
Higgs was second in the 100-meter dash in 10.55 and third in the 110-meter hurdles in 15:32. Major was third in the 400 at 51.70. Senior
Drew Mears was second in the 5,000-meter run in 16:12.42.
Kade Larson was second in the triple jump at 41-11 1/2 which was a personal-best. Junior
Ben Oie was third in the discus at 138-2.
MSUM will send some throwers to the USD Twilight on Friday. The team will compete at the NSIC Championships on May 12-14 in Aberdeen, S.D.
