MOORHEAD, Minn. – Minnesota State University Moorhead athletic director Chad W. Markuson has announced that
Jason Thiner has resigned as the Dragon head women's tennis coach.
Thiner has served as Dragon head coach the past two seasons, guiding the Dragons to a record of 14-16. That included a trip to the NSIC tournament semifinals in 2021. He coached six NSIC All-Academic players in his two seasons.
"Due to an amazing career opportunity my wife has received in North Branch, I will be resigning my position as head women's tennis coach at MSUM," Thiner said.
"I want to thank Coach Thiner for his time leading the Dragon women's tennis program," Markuson said. "We wish him future success in the next chapter of his life."
Markuson said a search is underway for the next Dragon head coach.
