SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team dropped two nonconference matches at the Augustana tournament on Friday.  The Dragons fell to Northern State 25-12, 25-10, 25-9 to open the day and then fell to Augustana, 25-12, 25-14, 25-16.
The Dragons fell to 2-4 in nonconference play with the loss.
Against Northern State, junior outside hitter Bridget Witzmann and senior middle blocker Elise Bakke paced the Dragons with four kills each.  The Dragons hit -.045 for the match with 14 kills and 18 errors compared to .356 from the Wolves.
Freshman setter Emily Skalicky dished out 10 assists while Witzmann led with nine digs. Junior middle blocker Tori Thompson had two block assists.
Against Augustana, Witzmann hd with nine kills with sophomore hitter Jadyn Feist had five. Skalicky had 18 set assists.
Bakke had four block assists and a solo block while Witzmann had three assists. Feist and junior libero Brooke Walthall had eight digs each.
Augustana hit .288 for the match compared to .108 for the Dragons.
MSUM will play two matches on Saturday. The Dragons will face Truman State at 9 a.m. and South Dakota Mines at 3:45 p.m.
