MANKATO, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team fell to No. 18 Minnesota State-Mankato 6-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Friday in Mankato, Minn.
MSUM fell to 1-4-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the NSIC with the loss while Minnesota State improved to 6-1-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the league.
Minnesota State outshot the Dragons 24-11 for the game and built a 2-0 halftime lead thanks to two goals from Jenny Vetter.
Freshman goalkeeper Quinn Carter had eight saves for the Dragons.
Senior forward Ava Kieser had three shots for MSUM. Sophomore defender Sara Alfrida Munk Nielsen, freshman freshman defender Abbey Johnson, junior midfielder Keely Johnston and junior forward Tabea Czech had shots on goal.
MSUM is at Concordia-St. Paul for a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday.
