MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead soccer team will begin their NSIC conference play by traveling to face off against Minnesota Crookston at 4 p.m. on Friday and Bemidji State at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The Dragons are 0-1 on the season after falling to Tampa, 3-0 to open the regular season. Freshmen Lily Johnson and Jensen Seidel, and junior Allison Tharp lead the team in shots with two apiece. Junior goalkeeper Simone Lewald leads the team with one save.
Christie Kopietz is in her seventh season as head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Dragon Captains for 2022 are seniors Jalyn Bauer and Callyn Johnson and junior Grace Heying.
About Minnesota Crookston
The Golden Eagles are 1-2 on the season after defeating Waldorf University then falling to Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan University last weekend. Sophomore Abby Fettinger and Senior Alyssa Pavlacic lead the team in goals with 1 apiece. Senior Morgan Laplante leads the team in assists with 2. Kyle Halfpop is in his fourth season as head coach at Minnesota Crookston.
About Bemidji State
The Beavers are 1-1-1 on the season after falling to South Dakota State, defeating Michigan Tech, and battling Northern Michigan to a tie last weekend. Graduate student Sara Wendt leads the team in shots-on-goal with 5, followed by Graduate student Erin Becker with 2. Senior Alyssa Stumbaugh leads the team in saves with 19. Jim Stone is in his twenty-first season as head coach at Bemidji State.
