MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team will host Concordia-St. Paul on Friday at 5:30 p.m. then host Minnesota State Mankato on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. this weekend.
The Dragons are 15-3 on the regular season and 10-2 against NSIC opponents after defeating Southwest Minnesota State University and Sioux Falls last weekend. The Dragons also dropped a game at home to Northern State last Tuesday. Sophomore
Jacob Beeninga leads the team in points per game with 17. Junior
Dane Zimmer leads the team in rebounds per game with 7.9. Senior
Gavin Baumgartner leads the team in assists per game with 3.8. Currently, Baumgartner is 40 point shy of passing Kevin Mulder for fourth on MSUM's all-time scoring list.
Other milestones to watch are
Lorenzo McGhee and
Dane Zimmer's quest for 1000 career points as a Dragon. McGhee is 150 points shy of the mark while Zimmer needs 160 points to reach 1000. McGhee surpassed the 1000-point mark for his college career (including his time at Nicholls State) this past weekend.
MSUM is currently ranked 22nd in the NABC Coaches poll and 21st in the D2SIDA Media poll.
Tim Bergstraser is in his first season as head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

The Golden Bears are 4-14 on the regular season and 2-10 against NSIC opponents after falling to Bemidji State and defeating Minnesota Crookston last weekend. Junior Antwan Kimmons leads the team in points per game with 21. Kimmons also leads the team in assists per game with 4.2. Sophomore Marcus Skeete leads the team in rebounds per game with 6.2. Matt Fletcher is in his third season as head coach at Concordia-St. Paul.

The Mavericks are 13-5 on the regular season and 7-5 against NSIC opponents after defeating Minnesota Crookston and falling to Bemidji State last weekend. Junior Malik Willingham leads the team in points per game with 18.3. Senior Kelby Kramer leads the team in rebounds per game with 6.6, followed closely by sophomore Brady Williams with 6.2 rebounds per game. Matt Margenthaler is in his twenty-second season as head coach at Mankato.
