Dragons Ranked 25th in NABC Poll, 23rd in D2SIDA

| By:
MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Coming off two big weekend wins against NSIC opponents St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth, the MSU Moorhead men's basketball team has broken into national polls. The Dragons are ranked 25th in the latest NABC Poll and came in at 23rd in the D2SIDA Poll.

MSUM was only listed as receiving votes in the D2SIDA poll last week, but wins over the Huskies and Bulldogs (who were ranked 15th in last week's D2SIDA poll) catapulted the Dragons into the top 25. After weeks of just missing the top 25, it is MSUM's first visit to the D2SIDA poll in 2022-23 after garnering 57 points in the latest rankings. In D2SIDA's regional rankings, the Dragons are ranked third in the Central Region only behind Central Oklahoma and defending national champion Northwest Missouri State.

The Dragons were originally ranked 21st in the preseason NABC poll, but have reemerged in the poll after falling just outside the top 25 last week. MSUM was not ranked in the NABC poll last week and come in at the 25 spot this week with 27 points. The Dragons are currently riding an eight-game win streak and are 11-2 overall.

MSUM hosts Wayne State, the top team in the NSIC South, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday before facing off with Augustana at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
