MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. – MSU Moorhead swimming & diving would collect another road dual win on Saturday afternoon as the Dragons breezed by Concordia, St. Paul, 163-128.
In relay action, MSUM would command both races as the team of
Lacie Stark,
Linnea Edgren,
Ruth Pavelski and
Demi-Lee Carlisle would clock a 1:50.21 to win the 200-yard medley relay. The 400-yard freestyle relay was won by the team of Stark, Carlisle,
Maggie Moore and
Sophia Verke with a mark of 3:42.13. Verke would continue to build on her stellar 2023 with an event win the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.9. The freshman would also bring home runner-up honors in the 100-yard and 50-yard freestyles with marks of 54.30 and 24.84 respectively. Moore finished just behind Verke in the 100-yard race with a time of 56.64 while
Joanna Phillips would clock a new personal-best of 58.89.
During the distance events,
Cami Mayo would earn runner-up honors in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:49.13. Mayo would also take runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle with a 5:30.41 in the race.
Kelsey Jackson would win both backstroke events, swimming a 59.65 in 100-yard and a 2:13.12 in the 200-yard.
Ruth Pavelski would also continue to surge in the pool, winning the 200-yard fly, the 100-yard fly and the 100-yard IM. Pavelski registered times of 2:19.62 (200-yard fly), 59.37 (100-yard fly) and 1:01.75 (100-yard IM).
Linnea Edgren took runner-up in the 200-yard breaststroke with a mark of 2:42.84 with the junior placing third in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.15) as well.
Demi-Lee Carlisle would earn an event win in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.81. In diving,
Zoe Bjerke placed runner-up in 3M with a score of 173.55 while
Ruth Guy was runner-up in 1M with a score of 181.25.
