MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead swimming & diving will have its second road dual in as many weeks as the Dragons head to Marshall, Minn., to take on Southwest Minnesota State on Friday beginning at 1 p.m.

MSUM was last in the pool on Saturday as the Dragons took on Concordia, St. Paul in dual action from Mendota Heights, Minn. The Dragons would claim their fifth dual win of the season, defeating the Golden Bears 163-128.

In that dual, MSUM was again paced by its fabulous freshman class. Ruth Pavelski took home wins in three separate events, clocking winnings times of 2:19.62 (200-yard fly), 59.37 (100-yard fly) and 1:01.75 (100-yard IM). Pavelski was also a member of MSUM's winning 200-yard medley relay team that finished with a mark of 1:50.21. MSUM would also command the second relay of the afternoon as the team of Lacie Stark, Demi-Lee Carlisle, Maggie Moore and Sophia Verke would win the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:42.13.

Verke would win the 200-yard freestyle for the Dragons with a time of 1:58.9. The freshman also posted runner-up times in both the 100-yard and 50-yard freestyles. Fellow freshman Kelsey Jackson would win both backstroke events at the meet with times of 59.65 (100-yard) and 2:13.12 (200-yard). Demi-Lee Carlisle also earned an individual event win for the Dragons in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.81. 

Cami Mayo garnered runner-up honors in both distance events at the dual (1650-yard anf 500-yard) as well as Linnea Edgren, who placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:42.84.
