MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead lead for over 30 minutes against St. Cloud State while
Olivia Skibiel put that lead on ice with a massive three-pointer with 33 seconds remaining to lift the Dragons over the Huskies. MSUM came out on top 55-50 for their 11th win of the season.

While MSUM would begin the game shooting four of five from the field, St. Cloud State was able to get six second chance opportunities in the first five minutes.
Peyton Boom led the Dragons early with six points on three of four shooting.
Mariah McKeever would put MSUM in front late in the first with a mid-range jumper in the lane. Ultimately, the two teams would be tied at 14 points apiece through 10 minutes.

MSUM would hold St. Cloud State scoreless for nearly five minutes to open the second quarter. In that span, the Dragons were able to take an 18-14 lead. The Dragons would eventually hold St. Cloud State to just 25 percent shooting in the second quarter to take a commanding 30-21 lead into the locker room at half. Boom led the Dragons with 12 points at the intermission.

St. Cloud State would battle back in the third quarter, outscoring the Dragons 18-16 while shooting 57.1 percent from the floor including two three-point field goals. However, a
Mariah McKeever buzzer beater (which is becoming commonplace) would keep the MSUM in front 46-39.Â

The Huskies would keep cutting the Dragon lead to one point throughout the fourth quarter. In the crucial moments of the game, MSUM held St. Cloud State scoreless for the final minute and a half of play.
Olivia Skibiel hit a dagger three with 33 seconds remaining to put the Dragons up 54-50 as time dwindled. MSUM would secure a 55-50 win to finish the weekend with a win.
