On the men's side, the Dragons moved up to the number 35 ranking in the national poll after being listed at 36 a week prior. However, MSUM is ranked 10th in the latest Central Region rankings tallying 113.85 points to come in one spot higher than fellow NSIC member Concordia-St. Paul.
Braxton Bruer,
Shyrone Kemp and
Thomas Kern all picked up event wins for the Dragons at the Bison Open. Bruer nearly reset his own school in the 800m, winning the event and NSIC Track Athlete of the Week honors. Kemp won the triple jump once again while Kern won the men's 400m with a time of 49.16, the eighth fastest time in school history.
MSUM is back in action this weekend with a pair of meets. The Dragons will be competing at the SDSU Indoor Classic in Brookings, S.D. and the Minnesota State Massive Meet in Mankato, Minn., this Friday and Saturday.
