MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Dragon softball will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D., and compete against Augustana University at noon and 2 p.m. on Sunday, then travel to Wayne, Nebraska, and compete against Wayne State College at noon and 2 p.m. on Monday. MSUM will then travel to Duluth, Minn., to take on UMD on Wednesday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Games against the Vikings and Wildcats were initially scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, but due rain in the forecast, the contests have been bumped back a day with the original start times still in place.Â

The Dragons are 23-7 on the regular season and 11-1 against NSIC opponents after defeating the University of Mary twice on Wednesday. Freshman
Mack Gallagher leads the team with a team-best batting average of .430, followed closely by sophomore
Avery Steffen with a batting average of .395. Gallagher also leads the team in home runs with nine, followed by junior
Evey Evans with five home runs.Â

Wayne State will take on Northern State on Saturday before meeting the Dragons. Christy Warnock is in her first season as head coach at Wayne State University.Â
About Minnesota Duluth
The Bulldogs are 25-8 on the regular season and 11-3 against NSIC opponents after splitting with Minnesota State and Bemidji State. Senior Sidney Zavoral leads the team with a team-best batting average of .348, followed closely by sophomore Nicole Schmitt with a batting average of .341. Minnesota Duluth has weekend doubleheaders scheduled with Upper Iowa and Winona State before welcoming the Dragons on Wednesday. Lynn Anderson is in her third season as head coach at Minnesota Duluth.Â
