MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead tennis team is set to host Upper Iowa University at 2 p.m. on Saturday, then host Winona State University at 9 a.m. on Sunday this weekend. The two matches will be the final duals of the 2023 regular season.
The Dragons are 7-9 on the regular season and 3-6 against NSIC opponents after defeating the University of Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State University last weekend. Freshman
Tiannah Gu leads the Dragons with a team-best singles record of 10-6, followed by junior
Madison Bell with a singles record of 8-8. Sophomore
Tia Dykema and junior
Shaelyn Johnson lead the Dragons with a team-best doubles record of 8-4.
Alexis Konecne is in her first season as head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

The Peacocks are 0-10 on the regular season and 0-9 against NSIC opponents after falling to Augustana University, the University of Sioux Falls and Truman State University last week. Senior Varvara Ogorodnikova leads the Peacocks with a team-best singles record of 3-2. Ogorodnikova and senior Elaina Wall lead the Peacocks with a team-best doubles record of 2-2. Dominic Denardo is in his first season as head coach at Upper Iowa.
About Winona State
The Warriors are 8-6 on the regular season and 5-3 against NSIC opponents after falling to St. Cloud University and the University of Sioux Falls, then defeating Minnesota Duluth last week. Senior Rachel Kelly leads the Warriors with a team-best singles record of 9-3. Senior Beth Murman and junior Sara Anderson lead the Warriors with a team-best doubles record of 9-4. Tom Sanvik is in his third season as head coach at Winona State.
