MOORHEAD, Minn. – Concordia, St. Paul would net two goals in the first 45 minutes on MSU Moorhead and would hold on to the advantage through 90 minutes on Friday afternoon.
Concordia, St. Paul would begin the game with some aggression on the offensive end. The Golden Bears would put their first shot on goal in the eighth minute, which resulted in a goal from Tori Miller. Concordia, St. Paul would pepper in five more shots in the half with the Golden Bears netting their second goal of the contest late in the 38
th minute. Katie Anderson would find net thanks to a free kick assist from Bella Abruzzo, her second of the match.
The Dragons would get their best chance in the first half in the 23
rd minute off the foot of
Brooklyn Broderick. The strike was saved by Golden Bear keeper Kayla Matuzak. MSUM would manage two additional shots in the first 45 minutes with one being on goal from
Blayke Hurley. Through one half, Concordia, St. Paul commanded the score, 2-0.
MSUM would put two more shots on goal in the second period to Concordia, St. Paul's one, which occurred early in the half. Neither team would put any shots in the back of the net on those chances. The Golden Bears would earn the victory and three conference points with the 2-0 win.
