| By:
MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead track & field continues its indoor schedule this weekend as the Dragons will compete in a pair of meets on Saturday. MSUM is slated to compete at both the Mike Thorson Open and the Cobber Open.

Live results will be available at msumdragons.com. Action from Bismarck, N.D., begins at 11 a.m. with the Cobber Open starting at 11:30 a.m.

A small group of Dragon sprinters and jumpers will be competing at the University of Mary-hosted Mike Thorson Open. The remaining Dragons will compete across eighth street at the Cobber Open.

MSUM's last competition was at the Bison Team Cup last Saturday. The Dragons had event wins from Ashley Hokanson (pole vault), Adnew Stueven (3000m) and Braxton Bruer (mile) at the meet. Hokanson would move to 2-0 in pole vault events so far this season as she took home an event win on Saturday. The senior would clear a top flight of 13-01.5 (4.00m) with the next finisher clearing 12-07.5 (3.85m).

Bruer would own the mile run on the men's side, clocking a time of 4:18.2 to win the event by over a full second. Stueven (4:20.62) and Colin O'Farrell (4:21.60) would finish third and fourth respectively in the same race. Bruer would also compete in the 600m as he finished third with a personal-best of 1:21.38. The senior's mile mark was also a new personal-best.

Stueven would win the 3000m by nearly two full seconds with a mark of 8:48.56, a personal-best for the senior. James Dorado would finish fourth in the same race with a time of 8:56.90.

Also at the Bison Team Cup, Shyrone Kemp (high jump) and Ibrahim Oduong (200m) would earn runner-up finishes for the Dragons. Sprinter Shavantae Roberts would collect a pair of third place finishes in the 60m and 200m dashes. David Daniels would turn in a strong performance in men's long jump, finishing third with a personal-best leap of 22-01.75 (6.75m).

Ryan Milner is in his seventh season as MSUM's head track & field coach.
