About the Dragons
The Dragons (1-13-3, 1-10-2 NSIC), dropped one match and also earned a draw in last week's action. The Dragons fell to Southwest Minnesota State at home 3-1 in their first game last week. The Dragons jumped out to a 1-0 lead with one of the better goals in the NSIC this season. Freshman midfielder
Madalynn Hopkins put in a perfect corner kick that was headed in front of the net by senior defender
Mason Kimble right to junior forward
Lilly Johnson, who put a header in the back of the net for a goal. It was not enough to secure a win, as the Mustangs had a late surge in the second half to claim the victory.
In the second game of the weekend, the Dragons put on a good performance for senior day against one the best teams in the NSIC, the Augustana Vikings. The Dragons would come out breathing fire as
Lilly Johnson would score another dazzling goal in the sixth minute assisted by junior forward
Blayke Hurley. The Dragons held the Vikings scoreless behind some great goalkeeping from junior goalkeeper
Quinn Carter who made an incredible 15 saves in the match. Augustana would level the score in the second half with a goal in the 59
