BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Sixth-ranked MSU Moorhead men's basketball used late shot-making to stave off a run from the Bemidji State Beavers. The Dragons picked up their fourth straight win on Saturday evening, 81-74.

- MSUM would begin the contest on a 14-4 run, claiming baskets from Jacob Beeninga, Jacob Jennissen, Logan Kinsey and Shaun Wysocki.
- The Dragon lead would sit at 11 points with under 10 minutes to play after a triple from Eddie Beeninga.
- Sam Hastreiter would cash back-to-back threes shortly thereafter to balloon the lead to 17 points (31-14).
- Adam Jenkins would play some valuable minutes late in the half, scoring four points.
- Hastreiter would drill another three to help provide MSUM a 43-25 halftime lead. The junior had a team-high nine points in the first half.
- The Dragons would hold a lead of no less than 10 points throughout the first 10 minutes of the second half.
- Bemidji State's offense began to spark from there, pulling to within nine points.
- Jacob Beeninga would answer with a three to put the Dragons back up 12 points. Kinsey would hit a long range shot as well to keep MSUM up 13 with seven minutes left.
- The Beavers would hit some timely shots to pull back within five points with two minutes to play.
- Beeninga would again spalsh home a triple on the ensuing possession to answer BSU.
- Wysocki would make a stellar defensive play on the next trip, blocking a shot and eventually scoring on the other end.
- Kinsey would sink late free throws to secure the 81-74 victory for the Dragons.
