MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead tennis will hit the road once again this weekend to take on the University of Mary. The Dragons will play the Marauders at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Mandan, N.D.
The Dragons are coming off a split week of results in match play as they would fall to Minnesota State (7-0) on Saturday, but would defeat Winona State 4-3 on Sunday. Against the Mavericks, the team of
Luzmary Diaz Castillo and
Shaelyn Johnson would win in number one doubles. The duo would again win on Sunday to move their overall record to 3-0 for the year.
In singles action, Castillo would win at number one singles on Sunday while Johnson would also claim victory at the number two spot.
Tiannah Gu earned her third singles win of the season against Winona State in a grueling three set affair. For Gu, the victory clinched the team win for the Dragons as well.
Alexis Konecne is in her second season as MSUM's head tennis coach.
