MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead tennis will play its final two home matches this weekend as the Dragons are set to host St. Cloud State on Saturday, March 23 beginning at 2 p.m. MSUM will play Minnesota Duluth on Sunday, March 24 at 9 a.m.
Live video will be available at msumdragons.com with both matches taking place at Courts Plus Community Fitness in Fargo, N.D. Sunday will also be Senior Day for Dragon tennis as they will honor
Shaelyn Johnson,
Madison Bell and
Kiera Radniecki.
MSUM is fresh off its Spring Break trip to Orlando, Florida, where the Dragons played in five matches across four days on a variety of different playing surfaces. The Dragons also got valuable experience, facing off with tough competition which included NCAA Division I South Dakota and seventh-ranked Lubbock Christian. MSUM picked up wins over St. Catherine's and Warner University in those five matches.
Johnson leads the Dragons with six singles wins so far this season while a host of Dragons have tallied five wins on the year (
Luzmary Diaz Castillo,
Madison Bell,
Tiannah Gu and
Claire Nemmers). In doubles play, the team of Johnson and
Luzmary Diaz Castillo have a team-best six wins in number one play this season while Bell and Gu have four doubles wins this season.
