MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead tennis will take its annual spring break excursion with the Dragons playing five matches in a span of four days in the state of Florida. Action begins for MSUM on Monday, March 11 and will wrap up on Thursday, March 14. 

MSUM will begin competition against NCAA Division I South Dakota at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11. The Dragons will take on Lubbock Christian the following day at 6 p.m. before playing a pair of matches on Wednesday, March 13. MSUM will play St. Catherine's at 7 a.m. before facing off with Ohio Northern at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. To conclude competition, the Dragons will play Warner University at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. 

The Dragons last played on February 24 in a road loss to the University of Mary, 6-1. In that match, Luzmary Diaz Castillo moved her singles record to 3-1 while Castillo and partner Shaelyn Johnson remained undefeated with a doubles win. So far this season, the pair is 4-0 in number one doubles play.

Castillo and Johnson are not the only doubles team with four wins as the number two duo of Madison Bell and Tiannah Gu have a 4-5 record so far this season. Johnson leads the Dragons in singles wins with four followed closely by Castillo, Bell, Gu and Claire Nemmers, who each have three. 

Alexis Konecne is in her second season as Dragon head tennis coach.
