MANKATO, Minn. – MSU Moorhead track & field saw its second conference championship performance of the weekend in the form of
Braxton Bruer in the 800m. By meet's end, MSUM collected four more All-NSIC honorees on the final day of the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
MSUM's men's team placed fourth as a team, earning 72 points. The Dragon women finished in 11
th place as a team with 11 points.
Sprints/Relays
Ibrahim Oduong would run a lifetime best in the 400m with a time of 46.74 to earn All-NSIC distinction with a runner-up finish. The mark would have been an NSIC and facility record had it not been for the first-place finisher. Nevertheless, Oduong's time is now the second-fastest outdoor 400m in school history and is the 15
th-fastest 400m in Division II this year.
Jerome Crayton would earn a ninth-place finish in the same event, clocking a personal best time of 48.59. In women's 100m action,
Shavantae Roberts would turn in another solid effort, finishing with a time of 11.70. The time would earn Roberts a sixth-place finish in the event.
The 4x100m men's relay team of
David Daniels, Crayton,
Elliott MacLennan and Oduong would finish sixth with a season best time of 41.88. To conclude action at the meet, the 4x400m team of Oduong, Crayton, MacLennan and
Braxton Bruer would place fifth with a mark of 3:16.52.
Jumps/Vaults
Ashley Hokanson would grab another All-NSIC honor in women's pole vault with a runner-up finish. Hokanson had a top clearance of 12-06 (3.81m) to earn the second-place spot. For the senior, it is her sixth All-NSIC honor in the pole vault.
In men's triple jump,
Kade Larson would collect a new personal best of 43-02.5 (13.17m).
McKenna Schreiber would also set a new personal best on the women's side, leaping a 35-08.5 (10.88m).
Throws
The men's javelin tandem of
Isaac Friese and
Ty Ogren would finish sixth and seventh respectively. Friese would mark a new personal best of 186-10 (56.95m) which is now the sixth-best javelin throw in school history. Ogren would hurl a season best 184-09 (56.31m) which comes in as the seventh-best throw in MSUM history. In women's discus,
Katelyn Zaiger would mark a 129-02 (39.39m) to finish 14
th overall.
Distance
Braxton Bruer would collect his first ever outdoor 800m title on Saturday afternoon, running a 1:52.77 to win by over one second. For Bruer, it is the fourth NSIC 800m title of his career (three indoor).
Jared Gregoire would narrowly miss All-NSIC in the same event with a time of 1:54.14 to place fourth.
Colin O'Farrell would place sixth, marking a 1:54.79.
Gregoire would work towards an All-NSIC finish in the men's 1500m run. The sophomore would place third with a season best mark of 3:49.36. O'Farrell would finish in fifth place, clocking a personal best time of 3:50.11.
To wrap the day in distance competition,
Adnew Stueven would lead the Dragon contingent in the 5000m run. Stueven finished fifth with a personal best time of 14:53.93, which checks in as the 10
th-fastest time in school history.
James Dorado would clock a season best mark of 15:08.10 in the same event.

The Dragons will now await the entry list for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships which begin on May 23 in Emporia, Kan.
