Box Score MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead tennis saw a successful conclusion to its fall schedule on Saturday morning as the Dragons bested Minnesota Crookston in dual action, 4-3. 

Doubles play would see MSUM command the first two positions as the duo of Shaelyn Johnson and Luzmary Diaz Castillo would continue their winnings ways with a 6-1 victory. Tiannah Gu and Katryna Hansen would secure the doubles point for MSUM as they would be embroiled in a tough match up with Minnesota Crookston's Nadia Casas Mundet and Kavya Singh. The pairing would battle out a tough win, defeating the Golden Eagles, 6-4. Sophia Felderman and Claire Nemmers would also battle at the number three position, but would ultimately fall, 6-4. 

In singles competition, Johnson and Diaz Castillo would continue their winning ways as MSUM eyed three more coveted team points. Johnson would move into the number one position and defeat UMC's Daniella de Lucas Rivera in straight sets (6-2, 6-2). Diaz Castillo would follow suit at the number two spot, topping Adriana Solis Guals in the first set, 6-1. The junior would grab the match win thanks to a default in the second set. 

Needing one more team point for the overall victory, Tiannah Gu would show her resiliency in a grinding battle with Nadia Casas Mundet. Gu would need a tiebreak to win the first set with the extra frame ending in a 10-8 line. The junior would collect the necessary team point thanks to a 6-3 win in set number two.
