MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead women's basketball picked up its second consecutive victory on Friday night in NSIC action. The Dragons controlled a matchup with Augustana, winning 57-43.

- Two threes from Natalie Jens in the first quarter helped give MSUM a six-point lead (12-6). Karlee Fisher would add in a three in the stretch as well.
- Back-to-back baskets from Terryn Johnson would put the MSUM advantage into double figures, 23-13.
- Nice offense from Ashley Fritz was present all evening with the sophomore keeping the Dragons up nine points with a pair of baskets.
- MSUM led 29-18 at the break, forcing 17 Augustana turnovers and holding the Vikings to 36.3 percent shooting.
- A triple from Ashton Safranski early in the third quarter gave the Dragons their largest lead to that point in 15 points (35-20).
- Safranski would close the frame with a three at the buzzer to get MSUM's lead back to 13 points, 40-27.
- Fritz would help push the Dragons in the final period as Augie attempted to make one final run.
- The sophomore scored six points down the stretch in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 points for the game.
- While the Vikings would get as close as nine points, MSUM would eventually balloon the lead back to 17 points after a make from Johnson.
- The Dragons won 57-43 with Johnson notching another double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds.
- Safranski flirted with a double-double, scoring nine points with an impressive eight assists to go along with four steals.
