DULUTH, Minn. – Minnesota State Moorhead soccer saw a goal from
Ana Cecilia Walker in NSIC action on Friday night. The Dragons fell to Minnesota Duluth on the road, 4-1.

"We showed good energy and every substitute raised the level, but you can't switch off for a second," said MSUM head soccer coach
Scott Forster. "We did the right prep but the execution lacked focus."

Minnesota Duluth would find an offensive lane early in the match, logging the first shot on goal within the first five minutes.
Quinn Carter would save the shot, following that up with another stop ahead of the 18-minute mark. The Bulldogs would not be kept off the scoreboard for much longer as they would take a 1-0 lead with a goal at 18:43.

While Carter would stall another Bulldog attempt ahead of the 23
rd minute, the home club would score again at 32:34. Moorhead would have a solid chance on net just before halftime following a yellow card.
Lilly Allen would fire a shot on the ensuing freekick with the shot stalled by UMD keeper Kaycee Chavez. Carter would stop another Bulldog try late in the half to keep the score 2-0 at the break.

The Bulldogs would begin the second half strong with a goal at 46:18 to take a three-goal lead. Minnesota Duluth would continue to get shots off, but credit to Carter, who continued to make saves. The senior stalled six Bulldog shots within the first 20 minutes of the second half.

With just over 17 minutes to play, MSUM would start a run after Carter charged a Bulldog attack. Carter would get the ball to sophomore
Mary Cox, who booted a ball downfield with
Ana Cecilia Walker streaking. The true freshman would once again showcase her elite speed, catching up to the ball and driving a low kick into the net. The score was Walker's third of the season while Cox earned her third assist of 2025.

Before the conclusion of the match, Minnesota Duluth would score a goal from a penalty kick. The Bulldogs would claim the match 4-1 with Carter making 11 saves for the Dragons.
