MSUM Soccer Concludes Home Slate Versus Huskies, Mavericks

| By:
MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead soccer will wrap up the 2025 home schedule this weekend in a pair of NSIC matches. The Dragons host St. Cloud State on Friday at 3 p.m. before holding Senior Day on Sunday against second-ranked Minnesota State at 1 p.m.

Live video and stats will be available at msumdragons.com. Moorhead is coming off a pair of losses to Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State last week.

Game-Breaking Speed...True freshman Ana Cecilia Walker once again dazzled for Moorhead in last week's match against Minnesota Duluth. Walker scored a goal in the 73rd minute off a pass from Mary Cox. The Brooklyn Park, Minn., native was forced to use her elite speed to beat her marker to the ball. The ensuing result was Walker's third goal of the 2025 campaign.

Cox Is Dealin'...Sophomore Mary Cox has been nothing short of pivotal for the Dragon offense this season. Cox assisted on another goal last weekend against Minnesota Duluth, her third of the season. The mark leads the roster so far this season with the points being the first of Cox's collegiate career.

Truslow Marks New Best...Senior goalkeeper Rylee Truslow made 13 saves against Bemidji State on Sunday afternoon, marking a new career high for the Nellysford, Va., native. Truslow had matched her career best of 12 on two separate occasions and sits at 234 career saves between her career at MSUM and Bluefield State.

Carter On The Move...Senior goalkeeper Quinn Carter would make 11 stops against the Bulldogs on Friday, moving her career total to 218 saves. Carter is one of eight players in program history to accrue 200 or more saves in a career. The Mandan, N.D., native needs 31 saves to pass Andrea Pearson for the sixth-most saves all-time in a Dragon career. In the 90-minute effort against UMD, Carter passed Simone Lewald for the sixth-most goalkeeper minutes in program history (2423)

Minute Markers...Both Cox and senior Lizzy Jaraczeski eclipsed the 1,000 minute mark for the season last weekend. Cox has played in 1,064 minutes so far this season while Jaraczeski leads the roster with 1,103. With five matches remaining, both players have the chance to enter the single-season top ten in the category.

Scott Forster is in his second season as MSUM's head soccer coach.
