| By:
MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead soccer will look to build a win streak in a pair of Northern Sun road matches this weekend. The Dragons battle Concordia-St. Paul on Friday at 6 p.m. before wrapping the weekend at Winona State on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Live video and stats will be available at msumdragons.com. Moorhead is coming off a 1-1 weekend as part of Homecoming week with the Dragons falling to Northern State on Friday before defeating Jamestown (2-1) on Sunday.

Big Lilly Style...Senior forward Lilly Johnson showcased her offensive ability across a pair of matches for MSUM last weekend. Johnson netted her first goal of the 2025 season on Friday against Northern State. The North Branch, Minn., connected on a header attempt following a lovely pass from Abby Toso, to give the Dragons a lead in the first half. On Sunday against Jamestown, Johnson struck again, scoring the game-winning goal in the second half. Johnson had three shots on goal in six total attempts last weekend for a .500 shots on goal clip.

B2B...Redshirt senior Brooklyn Broderick continues to breath life into the Dragon offense. The Kannapolis, N.C., native scored again as part of MSUM's 2-1 win over Jamestown on Sunday, netting the match's first goal in the first half of play. Broderick was active all weekend on offense, totaling eight total shots with five being registered on goal. The forward would tally a .625 shots on goal percentage for the weekend with four of her five shots on goal coming against the Jimmies.

Gu-Hop...Sophomore Madalynn Hopkins put on her facilitator cleats in two matches for the Dragons last weekend. Hopkins delivered the pass that eventually found the foot of Lilly Johnson against Jamestown on Sunday with the senior netting the eventual game-winning goal. The dish was the second assist of Hopkins' collegiate career as the Denver, Colo., native also logged five total shots (with four on goal) against the Jimmies.

Home(coming) Cookin'...Head coach Scott Forster collected his fourth career win at MSUM in Sunday's match with Jamestown. Forster has already upped the Dragon win total from a season ago by two games. The second-year head coach also tabbed his first victory on Nemzek Field against the Jimmies.

She's Pretty Sharp...Since returning from injury early in the season, sophomore Madison Sharp has played a pivotal role in the Dragon backline. Sharp has also shown her ability to push the pace, assisting on Broderick's goal against Jamestown on Sunday. The point was the first of Sharp's collegiate career in 394 career minutes played.

Scott Forster is in his second season as MSUM's head soccer coach.
