MOORHEAD, Minn. – Minnesota State Moorhead wrestling featured 13 place winners across two divisions at the annual Dragon Open on Sunday. Pedro Velazquez and Edon Davis were weight class champions for the Dragons. 
 
Pedro Velazquez would lead the Dragons on Sunday, winning a weight class title in the 141-pound Red division. Velazquez began the day with back-to-back major decisions to qualify for the weight class championship. The Victoria, Minn., native defeated Chris Kirchner by decision in the final, 9-5. 
 
Edon Davis would show out on Sunday, winning the 165-pound White division, adding four wins to his ledger. Davis qualified for the championship match behind an 11-1 major decision over Zachary Davidson. The Farmington, Minn., product earned the bracket by defeating UMary's John Richter, 11-7. 
 
Landon Walker looked sharp in the 125-pound White division, earning a trio of wins on Sunday. Walker's day was highlighted by a pair of falls over Concordia's Hunter Mars and Mario Fernandez. In the 125-pound Red division, senior Clayson Mele gathered a fifth-place finish.
 
In the 133-pound Red division, Brody Toledo would grab fourth-place marks with three victories. Toledo picked up a major victory over North Dakota State's Javier Berg, claiming a 9-7 decision. Freshman Ashton Leegaard claimed a third-place finish in the 149-pound White division. Leegaard earned the finish with back-to-back wins over Minot State's Brayden Guerrero and unattached Dalton Hinebauch.
 
Fellow freshman Gunner Hostetter would grab three wins for a fourth-place finish in the 157-pound White division. Hostetter earned a tech fall victory over Northland's Kale Geiser (17-2) before defeating Concordia's Tony Baumann via sudden victory. In the 157-pound Red division, Jacob Thomas would earn third-place marks behind a pair of impressive victories. Thomas defeated North Dakota State's Brandon Dean and St. Cloud State's Patrick Kubisa.
 
Kish Eberline had a solid day in the 184-pound White division, collecting four wins for a third-place finish. Eberline's output was highlighted by a fall over Ayden Flanagan at 3:57. Wyatt Powell would earn sixth-place marks in the 197-pound Red division with three wins on the day. Powell racked up 30 points in a pair of tech fall victories while also sticking Concordia's Dante Novembre at 1:56. 
 
Other Dragons earning victories on Sunday included Isaiah Wright and Beau Robinson.
