MSUM Track & Field Swift at SDSU Indoor Classic

BROOKINGS, S.D. – MSU Moorhead track & field saw several personal bests and top ten times set at the SDSU Indoor Classic. The Dragons competed at the meet both yesterday and today. 
 
Sprints/Hurdles/Relays
 
Ibrahim Oduong would register an NCAA provisional time in the 400m invitational dash on Saturday. Oduong clocked a season best 47.80 in the race to finish third overall. 
 
In the women's 60m qualifying, Jazmin Barry would register a personal best of 7.89 to finish 10th overall. Barry would run an identical mark later in the day in preliminary action. Desiree Loyd (7.95) and Brihonne Cargill (8.00) would each set new personal bests in the same event qualifier. On the men's side, Frosty Wisnewski would register a new personal best of 7.27 in the qualifying stage. 
 
Jumps/Vaults
 
In men's high jump, Jaiden Peraza would lead the Dragons again, winning the event behind a clearing of 6-06.75 (2.00m). Jasiah Hambira would finish seventh with a leap of 6-04.75 (1.95m). Mac Kunza would set a collegiate best of 6-02.75 (1.90m) to finish in ninth place. Tylah Pratt would lead the Dragons in women's long jump, placing fifth with a leap of 17-05.25 (5.31m). McKenna Schreiber (5.19m) would place ninth in the same event. 
 
Throws
 
Women's weight throw would see Kiley Kranz as the top Dragons, hurling a 41-10.75 (12.77m). Landon Nicholas would set a new personal best of 46-03.5 (14.11m) in the same event on the men's side. Kranz would finish fifth in shot put with an indoor personal best of 40-05.5 (12.33m). 
 
Distance
 
On Friday, Abbie Christen would turn in a fresh personal best in the 800m, clocking a 2:23.16. Colin O'Farrell would lead the Dragon men in the same event, finishing ninth overall with a mark of 1:54.32. The time for O'Farrell is a personal best and is the seventh-fastest indoor 800m in school history. Rory Richardson would also see a strong race, placing 16th with a personal best of 1:56.06. 
 
Richardson (2:35.06), Preston Miller (2:35.28) and Will Massmann (2:36.61) would all set personal bests in Saturday's 1000m.
 
In Saturday's mile run, Christen would finish 13th overall with a mark of 5:17.36. The time for Christen becomes a personal best. Salman Mohamed would be the top Dragon on the men's side, clocking a 4:24.17
