MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead wrestling is set to hit the road for a pair of tough NSIC duals. The Dragons battle second-ranked Parkside on Friday at 7 p.m. before traveling to Minnesota State for a 2 p.m. dual on Sunday.
Live video and results will be available at msumdragons.com. MSUM split a pair of NSIC duals last week, defeating (RV) Sioux Falls (30-9) on Friday before falling to 11th-ranked UMary on Sunday (9-30).
Against the Coo, MSUM claimed seven of ten weight classes in the 30-9 win. 125 pounds would begin the dual as

Mason Gode would score three takedowns in the first period of his 174-pound bout. Gode would spend a majority of the match in the top position, racking up over two minutes of riding time. A 15-7 major decision made the team score 21-6 in favor of MSUM.
Wyatt Powell would secure a swift takedown at 184 pounds before giving one up himself. Late in the first period, Powell had a nice reversal to lead 5-4 after three minutes. Powell would only need 15 seconds in the second period to pin Daevon Vereen.
Will Price would have some nice offense early at 197 pounds. Price scored a takedown late in the first period before scoring three four-point near falls in the second frame. The technical fall firmly secured the dual for the Dragons.
Against the Marauder, Mele grabbed a win via pin while Gode earned a decision victory.
