AZUSA, Calif. – MSU Moorhead track & field saw a school record showing from
Manjot Singh in the 400m hurdles as the Dragons opened competition in California at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Singh would highlight the Dragon efforts, clocking a school record time of 52.94 in the 400m hurdles. The time surpasses the previous record held by Dragon Athletic Hall of Famer Laquone Robinson (53.09) and earned Singh an eighth-place finish. The performance is also an NCAA provisional mark.
In the women's 100m dash,
Shavantae Roberts would turn in a strong 11.67 time to place seventh overall in a field of 66.
Jazmin Barry would clock a 12.89 in the same event. Barry would also compete in the long jump, turning in a top leap of 17-04.75 (5.30m). In the same event on the men's side,
Rollie Hanna had a top jump of 21-03.5 (6.49m).
Jasiah Hambira would be the top Dragon in men's high jump on Friday, clearing 6-07 (2.01m) to place fifth overall.
Jaiden Peraza would collect eighth-place marks in the same event with a clearance of 6-05 (1.96m).
In unattached action,
Ibrahim Oduong would officially conclude his collegiate career in the 400m. Oduong clocked a 48.44 to finish 25
th overall.
