MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead softball will look to secure a spot in the NSIC Softball Tournament this weekend in a pair of home doubleheaders. The dragons are scheduled to take on Bemidji State on Saturday and Minnesota Crookston on Sunday with games beginning at 1 p.m. each day.

Eliya Johnson was named the NSIC Player of the Week following weekend which saw her hit for a .583 average with five RBIs and four runs scored.
Senior
Avery Steffen leads the Dragons with a .384 average so far this season. This past weekend against St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth, Steffen tied the single-season record for hits (65). The senior also broke the single-season record for runs scored after notching her 42nd run scored on Friday against St. Cloud State. Steffen leads the Dragons on the bases as well, having stolen a single-season record 25 bases in 29 attempts. Fellow senior
Annika Norman has been equally impressive behind a .335 average this season which includes 53 hits and 22 RBIs. Against St. Cloud State on Friday, Norman set the career record for hits, collecting her 168th career base knock.
Johnson has seen an uptick in her production throughout conference play as the senior sits with a .306 average this season and a .329 clip in NSIC games. The Coon Rapids, Minn., native leads the Dragons with five home runs, 12 doubles as well as 26 RBIs. Junior catcher
Teagan Pranchke also sits above .300 this season behind a .302 average while freshman
Jessie Henry has hit for the same clip in NSIC contests.
Teagan Clemmons leads the Dragons in the circle this season, having twirled 96.2 innings for a 3.91 ERA and 93 strikeouts. Clemmons has limited batters to a .296 average this season while doling out onl 31 walks. Steffen has been equally impressive in the circle, tossing 81.1 innings, 80 strikeouts and holding batters to a .275 average. Steffen also two saves on her record this season.
Brynna Farman has found solid footing for MSUM as well behind 54 innings and 46 strikeouts.

Bella Hess and Johnson all see spot innings for the Dragons as well.
In the field, Hess, Rodriguez and
Kayla Kraft hold a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. MSUM offers up a .944 cumulative fielding percengate as a team.
