MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead softball is set to hit the road this week for a pair of NSIC doubleheader donnybrooks. The Dragons will take on Minot State on Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m. before battling Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Live video and stats will be available at msumdragons.com. The Dragons went 4-2 in NSIC games last week, sweeping both UMary and Wayne State in the process.
Avery Steffen leads the Dragons at the plate so far this season, hitting for a .380 average with a team-high 54 hits and 14 RBIs. Steffen was superb last week for the Dragons, hitting for a .526 clip across six games with two RBIs and a whopping nine runs scored. The senior also leads the Dragons on the basepaths with 20 stolen bases in 24 attempts, which is a single-season school record. Steffen also sits one triple shy of the single-season school record while also being three runs short of the MSUM record.
Fellow senior
Annika Norman has also seen a strong season at the plate for MSUM, marking a .364 average with 47 hits and a team-high 21 RBIs. Junior
Teagan Pranchke hits for a .315 average for MSUM with 28 total hits. Senior
Eliya Johnson leads the Dragons with four home runs this season to go along with 20 RBIs.
In the circle this season, MSUM has seen strong outings from
Teagan Clemmons on a consistent basis. Clemmons has pitched a team-high 87.1 innings this season for a 3.93 ERA and 83 strikeouts. The sophomore has held batters to a .296 average and tossed her first complete game shutout against Wayne State on Sunday. Clemmons had 10 strikeouts against the Wildcats, which matches her career high. Steffen is also active in the circle for the Dragons, slinging 71 innings this season with 74 strikeouts and a .278 opponent batting average. MSUM also relies on

Eliya Johnson,
Bella Hess and
Isabel Rodriguez for valuable innings as well. Farman collected her first two career wins last weekend against UMary and Wayne State.
Three Dragons offer up perfect 1.000 fielding percentages in Hess, Rodriguez and
Kayla Kraft. As a team, MSUM hold a .946 fielding percentage in 2025.
