MANHEIM, Pa. -- The National Wrestling Coaches' Association (NWCA) has announced its annual Scholar All-Americans for the 2024-25 season. MSU Moorhead had
Gunnar Mogen,
Edon Davis,
Damon Ferguson and
Pedro Velazquez honored.
Mogen earns his third straight NWCA Scholar All-America honor in 2024-25. The Velva, N.D., native is a biology (health and medical sciences) major at MSUM while Velazquez is a business adminsitration major. The junior from Victoria, Minn., qualified for the NCAA Championships at 141 pounds this season after a runner-up regional finish. Ferguson and Davis are both true freshmen for the Dragons with Ferguson majoring in elementary education. Davis remained undeclared in his major of study.
One of the following criteria must be met to be eligible for NWCA Scholar All-America status:
- All-American at the 2025 NCAA DII National Championships and 3.00 GPA
- National Qualifier to the 2025 NCAA DII National Championships and 3.25 GPA
- Competed in 4 or more events and 3.5 GPA
