MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead soccer is set to embark on its first conference road trip of the 2025 season this weekend. The Dragons head south for a match with Southwest Minnesota State on Friday at 3 p.m. before taking on Sioux Falls on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Live video and stats will be available at msumdragons.com. Moorhead began the conference slate a week ago, falling to Augustana on Friday and Wayne State College on Sunday afternoon.Â
The Dragons enter the weekend with a 1-3-1 overall record with the win coming against Nebraska-Kearney on September 7. MSUM also earned a scoreless draw with Black Hills State to begin the 2025 season on September 5.Â
In last week's action, Moorhead saw a pair of student-athletes notch their first career points. Freshman
Lauryn Katzenberger found the net against Augustana last Friday, her first collegiate goal. Assisting on the play was
Mary Cox, who earned her first career collegiate point in the process. Cox is second on the team in total shots (10) so far this season with fellow sophomore
Madalynn Hopkins leading the category (14). Sophomore
Sophie Thompson lead the roster with five shots on goal so far this season. Thompson and
Ana Cecilia Walker are the other two goal scorers for the Dragons so far this season.Â
Senior
Lizzy Jaraczeski currently leads the Dragons with 437 minutes played along the backline. Cox is not far behind Jaraczeski in the minutes column, tallying 399 so far in 2025. In net, MSUM has mixed in a pair of seniors in
Quinn Carter and
Rylee Truslow. Truslow leads the team with 21 saves so far in 2025 with Carter stalling 15 shots of her own. Truslow paces the Dragons with an .808 save percentage.Â
