MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead football is set to take on 16th-ranked Minnesota Duluth this weekend in NSIC action. The road tilt is set to kickoff at noon from James S. Malosky Stadium.

Matchup History...The Dragons snapped a years-long losing streak to the Bulldogs last season in dramatic fashion. Moorhead trailed by 15 points with just over six minutes to play before the Dragons stormed back. MSUM cut the deficit to one point as time expired and opted to go for the win on a two-point conversion attempt.

It's History Time...Senior wide receiver
Gage Florence reset the NSIC record for career receptions last Saturday against Wayne State. Florence made six receptions, moving his conference total to 296, breaking the previous record of 291. Florence also reset the MSUM all-time record for receiving yards last Saturday, tallying 62 against the Wildcats. That moved Florence's career total to 3,142, breaking the school record held by Damon Gibson, which stood at 3,112. Florence is one of only three players in program history to accure 3,000 or more receiving yards. Following the game, Florence has 334 career receptions, 52 shy of matching the NCAA Division II record.
Mr. 100...Quarterback
Jack Strand tossed his 100th career touchdown pass against Wayne State last weekend. In just his 35th career game, Strand becomes the first player in program history to reach the triple digit mark in touchdown passes. Strand is currently second in the nation in overall passing yardage (1,311) and is tied for the nation's most touchdown passes (16). The Bloomer, Wis., native is just four passing scores away from entering the top 30 all-time in NCAA Division II history.
Brick By Brick...Senior linebacker
Mitchell Jezierski made a staggering 13 tackles against Wayne State last weekend. This included eight solo tackles as well as a tackle for loss. It is the second time this season where Jezierski has racked up 10 or more tackles in a game. The Rogers, Minn., native currently leads the roster with 39 total tackles. That tackle total is the second-most in the Northern Sun so far this season.
Tate-er Salad...Fellow senior linebacker
Tate Gustafson was also all over the field last week against the 'Cats. Gustafson made 12 total tackles, including two tackles for loss. Gustafson is third in the NSIC in total tackles, registering 37 so far this season. Last Saturday's performance was the second time in 2025 where Gustafson has tallied double digit tackles.
Feelin' Froshy...True freshman pass catcher
Kalen Lucas has proved to be a sneaky weapon for the Dragons so far this season. Lucas made a pair of catches for 74 yards last week, including a 64-yard catch and run in the fourth quarter. On the year, Lucas has made eight catches for 149 yards, good for an 18.6 yards per reception clip.
Patrolling The Skies...Through four games this season, Moorhead holds the Northern Sun's top passing defensive efficiency (95.6). The Dragons have picked off six passes so far, which is the second-most in the conference. MSUM has also held the opposition to just 625 yards through the air, the third-lowest total in the NSIC.
