SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Minnesota State Moorhead women's basketball saw Sioux Falls hit 13 three-pointers in Saturday afternoon NSIC action. The Cougars topped the Dragons, 77-65.
How It Happened
- The Dragons would gather a four-point advantage to open the first quarter thanks to baskets from Karlee Fisher, Terryn Johnson and Abby Berge.
- Sioux Falls would eventually regain the lead before Moorhead evened the score at 10 points after a make from Caylin Kelly.
- After 10 minutes of action, MSUM trailed by eight points after the Coo made four three-pointers.
- While Aubrey Morrison would provide MSUM offense early in the second frame, USF still led by eight points with just over three minutes to play in the half.
- Sioux Falls would stretch their lead to 12 points before the break, sinking eight three-pointers through 20 minutes.
- Moorhead would only come as close as nine points in the third quarter, but the Cougars would lead by double figures for much of the period.
