MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead softball will embark on a three-game tournament in Jamestown, N.D., this week. The Dragons will take part in the Nelson Family Bubble Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Moorhead will take on University of Providence to begin play on Friday at 6 p.m. before matching up with Bismarck State at 8 p.m. The Dragons will conclude play on Friday in a non-conference game versus Northern State at 2:30 p.m. MSUM opened the 2026 season last week at the Lone Star D2 College Classic.
Wilson Starts Strong...Senior
Lexie Wilson lived up to her 'preseason player to watch' tag in the first weekend of the regular season. Wilson tallied six hits in 13 at-bats for the Dragons, including an RBI. Wilson came out of the first weekend with a team-high batting average of .462 while also securing a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
Pranchke Sets A Tone...Fellow senior
Teagan Pranchke was also a pivotal offensive piece for Moorhead at the Lone Star D2 College Classic. Pranchke had four hits in 11 at-bats for the Dragons, logging an average of .364. The Romeoville, Ill., native also drove in a run during the weekend while bolstering a 1.000 fielding percentage behind the plate.
Freshmen On Board...The Dragons saw two of their true freshmen come up with timely hits at the Lone Star D2 College Classic.
Loie Moore would begin her season with a .333 average, including a three-run home run against Colorado School of Mines on Sunday morning. Moore had three hits and also scored two runs over the weekend. Fellow freshman
Sami Macchiaroli also drove in three runs over the weekend behind three hits. Macchiaroli also scored a run for Moorhead.
Roidt Rage...Junior transfer
Kayla Roidt showcased her hitting ability last weekend at the Lone Star D2 College Classic. Roidt had three hits in 13 at-bats while also driving in a pair of run for the Dragons. Roidt also secured one of MSUM's three extra base hits during the weekend.
Locke-d In...Fellow transfer
Courtney Locke also collected a trio of hits last weekend for the Dragons. Locke finished the weekend with a .333 batting average and also scored a run. The Bow, Wash., native also stole a base over the weekend.
