Kiley Kranz have been named the Minnesota State Moorhead Athletes of the Month presented by Buffalo Wild Wings for the month of February 2026.
El-Amin enjoyed a phenomenal final month to his freshman season, leading the Dragons to the NSIC Tournament Quarterfinals. Throughout the month, El-Amin averaged 18.6 points across eight games while clipping 2.7 assists and 2.6 rebounds a contest. El-Amin scored 20 or more points on four separate occasions in February, including a pair of 24-point showings against Jamestown (Feb. 5) and Augustana (Feb. 28). For the month, the Minnetonka, Minn., native shot 48 percent from the floor while sinking a total of 20 three-pointers. El-Amin was named an All-NSIC Second Team performer by the conference on February 26.
Kranz turned in a strong conclusion to her indoor campaign, which culminated in a runner-up finish in shot put at the NSIC Indoor Championships. The Osakis, Minn., native led the competition heading into the final round of attempts and earned All-NSIC distinction with a top toss of 45-0.5 (13.73m). Kranz's attempt at the meet was an all-time personal best (indoor or outdoor) and currently sits as the second-best indoor shot put in Moorhead history. Beyond the conference meet, February was a month full of personal records for the junior. On February 20 at the UND Tune-Up, Kranz would place fifth in weight throw with a personal best throw of 48-11.75 (14.93m). That performance ranks seventh all-time in MSUM track & field history.
