MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead softball is set to conclude its non-conference schedule over MSUM's Spring Break. The Dragons will play 10 games across Missouri and Kansas from March 7 until March 13.
The Dragons begin the stretch taking on eighth-ranked Missouri Southern in a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. Moorhead will turn right around and look towards twinbills versus 22nd-ranked Pittsburg State (11 a.m.) and Southwest Baptist (4 p.m.) on Sunday and Monday. To conclude the trip, MSUM will battle Missouri Western in a doubleheader on March 12 at noon before battling Northwest Missouri State on March 13 at noon.

Last Time Out...The Dragons will see some familiar foes on their upcoming trip to Kansas and Missouri. The Dragons fell to Northwest Missouri State (3-2) and Missouri Western (9-4) last Friday. As part of the Midwest College Classic, MSUM also played Missouri Southern on February 28, an 8-0 win for the Lions.

Andrea Garcia and
Riley Dunne hit their first collegiate home runs. Garcia launched a three-run shot in MSUM's game against Missouri Western on February 27. Dunne cracked a solo homer in MSUM's 9-1 loss to Central Missouri on February 28.
At The Plate...So far this season, MSUM has five players hitting .300 or better, led by freshman
Riley McKeever with a .355 split. McKeever leads the Dragons in total hits (11) while also scoring three runs this season. Senior
Lexie Wilson (.345) and
Teagan Pranchke (.323) are just behind McKeever with 10 hits each. Freshman
Loie Moore also has 10 hits and a .303 average while leading the Dragons with seven RBIs this season. Catcher
Kayla Roidt is batting .300 for the season with nine hits and two RBIs.
In The Circle...Junior
Teagan Clemmons holds a pitching victory so far this season in 17.2 innings pitched. Clemmons has a 5.15 ERA so far this season with 15 strikeouts.
Caitlin Kelley leads Moorhead in innings pitched with 19.2 to go along with 10 strikeouts. So far this season, freshman
Bella Hess has held opponents to a .250 batting average in 11 innings pitched.
In The Field And On The Bases...In total, 14 Dragons bolster a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage so far this season with the team holding a .945 clip overall. McKeever holds a flawless percentage while also leading the team in total chances with 34. Moore has also been strong in the field with a 1.000 percentage in 26 total chances. Both Garcia and Pranchke hold perfect fielding percentages and 17 or more chances. Pranchke, Moore and
Courtney Locke each have two stolen bases for MSUM this season.
