MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead softball prepares for a split week of NSIC competition this week. The Dragons travel to take on Bemidji State on Thursday at 1 p.m. before returning home to host Minnesota Duluth on Sunday at noon.

Slammin' Sami...True freshman infielder
Sami Macchiaroli turned in a career day for the Dragons against UMary on Sunday. Macchiaroli had three hits in four at-bats in game two against the Marauders. This included an early-inning grand slam which helped Macchiaroli drive in a total of six runs in the game. It is the first time a Dragon has driven in six or more runs in a single game since Jordey Smith brought home six runs against Minnesota State on April 23, 2023.
Scoring At Will...Moorhead would plate a total of 13 runs on 15 hits in the game two victory over the Marauders. MSUM's 13 runs is the most in a game this season with the previous best being eight runs (vs Northern State 4/4/26). The 15 hits by the Dragons also tied the season-high (vs Northern State 2/7/2026).
At The Plate...Senior
Lexie Wilson leads the Dragons with a .327 batting average so far this season. Wilson bolsters 32 hits this season as well as a team-high 20 walks.
Riley McKeever (.326),
Courtney Locke (.303) and
Teagan Pranchke (.301) all hold averages over .300 and have tallied 30 or more hits this season. Locke has scored a team-high 20 runs this season as well. Macchiaroli leads the Dragons in both hits (34) and RBIs (22) so far this season.
In The Circle...Senior
Brynna Farman leads the Dragons in innings pitched, having twirled 72.1 so far this season. Farman also leads the roster in ERA (4.45) and total strikeouts (54). On Saturday against Minot State, Farman secured a career-high eight strikeouts, going over 100 ring ups in her career. Sophomore
Bella Hess holds two pitching victories this season while holding opponents to a team-best .289 average.
On The Field...Seven Dragons continue to bolster a 1.000 fielding percentage this season, led by freshman
Andrea Garcia behind 31 total chances. As a collective group, Moorhead holds a .956 fielding percentage in 2026.
