MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead softball is set to wrap up the 2026 regular season this weekend in a pair of road conference meetings. The Dragons will play doubleheaders with Winona State and Minnesota State on Saturday and Sunday of this week.
Live video and stats will be available at msumdragons.com. The twinbill with the Warriors is slated for a 1 p.m. start on Saturday before Moorhead takes on the Mavericks at noon on Sunday. MSUM is coming off a six-game homestand last week, which saw them collect wins over Minnesota Crookston (15-11) and Concordia-St. Paul (8-7).
Matchup History...The Warriors swept the Dragons a season ago, winning a pair of run rule games in Winona. In total, the Warriors have won 27 of the last 29 meetings with the Dragons. Moorhead last defeated Winona State on March 30, 2024 in a 3-0 neutral site victory. Minnesota State swept the Dragons last season as well, snapping a four-game winning streak for the Dragons in the series. Those four victories are MSUM's only wins over the Mavericks since 2009.

Loie Moore saw incredible success last week for the Dragons as part of a six-game homestand. Moore hit .688 (11-16) in the stretch, including a pair of four-hit games. The Galt, Calif., native held a .737 on-base percentage and a 1.424 OPS for the week. On the bases, Moore was dangerous as well, stealing six bases and scoring six runs.

Riley McKeever leads the Dragons with a .339 batting average so far this season. McKeever is third on the roster with 42 total hits while also sitting tied for second with 18 RBIs. The true frosh holds a .403 slugging percentage in 48 games played this season.
Teagan Pranchke leads the Dragons with 45 total hits at a .333 clip. Pranchke has scored 23 runs this season, second to Moore, who has scored 24. Freshman
Sami Macchiaroli leads the team with 29 RBIs on 41 hits.
In The Circle...Senior
Brynna Farman leads the Dragons in innings pitched, having twirled 97.2 so far this season. Farman also leads the Dragons with 69 strikeouts this season behind a 5.09 ERA. Hess has twirled 83.1 innings this season with a 4.79 ERA and 41 strikeouts. The sophomore is limiting batters to a .286 success rate against her this season. Hess has six pitching decisions on her ledger so far this season.
On The Field...Seven Dragons currently hold a 1.000 fielding percentage for the season led by
Andrea Garcia on 31 total chances. Senior
Lexie Wilson leads the Dragons in overall chances with 177, holding a .966 fielding percentage. As a team, Moorhead holds a .952 fielding percentage.
