MOORHEAD, Minn. - It's that time of year again!  Minnesota State University Moorhead's Homecoming 2011 week Welcome Home Dragon Nation kicks off next week on Monday, Sept. 19.

Monday, Sept. 19 marks the first event for Dragon Athletics with Nemzek Night at 6 p.m. followed by the Homecoming Pep Rally at 9 p.m.  

On Thursday, Sept. 22 Athletics Director Doug Peters will put his chili making skills to the test in the Dragon Bash Chili Feed Competition held on campus in front of Livingston Lord Library.

On Friday, Sept. 23 the Dragon volleyball team will host the Huskies of St. Cloud State University at 7 p.m. Following that game will be the Burning of the 'M' and a fireworks show.

Saturday, Sept. 24 is a day filled with events:
-    8 a.m. - 5k Walk, starting line located at Livingston Lord Library (registration ends a 7:45 a.m.)
-    8:30 a.m. – 5k Run, starting line located at Livingston Lord Library
-    9:05 a.m. – Kids Corner & 1k Walk with face painting for participants and fans
-    10:30 a.m. – Homecoming 2011 Parade
-    11 a.m. – Tailgating at Nemzek Hall
-    1 p.m. – Homecoming football game kick-off at Alex Nemzek Stadium against the
                   University of  Minnesota, Crookston
-    4 p.m. - Volleyball in Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse against Concordia, St. Paul
