AUSTIN, Texas -- Minnesota State University Moorhead senior
Derek Bredy finished fifth in the 100-meter dash at the Texas Relays, which concluded Saturday in Austin, Texas.
Bredy ran a time of 10:43 to take fifth in the college division of the 100-meter dash. His time is ranked third in the nation in all of Division II and .04 seconds fastest than his preliminary time on Friday.
The senior's time of 21.23 in the 200-meter dash -- which he ran on Friday at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational -- is ranked sixth in all of Division II as well.
The MSUM men's and women's track and field teams are scheduled to be in action on April 6 at the Viking Invitational in Valley City, N.D.
