MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team won two of the first three matches against No. 3-ranked St. Cloud State, but the Huskies came back to win the next seven on its way to a 32-7 win over the Dragons in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Saturday in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM fell to 5-7 overall and 2-3 in the NSIC with the loss while St. Cloud State improved to 13-1 overall and 2-0 in the league.
Recording wins for MSUM were freshman
Blake Bosch (125 pounds) and redshirt freshman
Isaac Novacek (141).
Bosch controlled his match against St. Cloud State's Joel Salomon, from the outset, taking a 2-0 first-period lead and never looking back in a 10-2 win by major decision to give MSUM a 4-0 lead in the dual.
St. Cloud State tied the dual at 4-4 when Zach Stewart topped MSUM freshman
Shane Novak by a major decision at 133 pounds, 12-3.
The Dragons regained the lead at 141 when redshirt freshman
Isaac Novacek put together a solid performance to earn an 8-4 win over St. Cloud State's Mike Rhone, who fell to 11-4 on the year with the loss. Novacek is now 6-7 on the year and his win put the Dragons in front in the dual 7-4.
From there, the Huskies flexed their muscle with seven straight wins.

Garret Hoffner in 4:28 at 149 pounds. Dragon redshirt freshman
Dan Murakami battled Clint Poster, the No. 4-ranked wrestler at 157 pounds, tough for three periods but fell short, dropping a 4-0 decision which pushed the St. Cloud State lead to 13-7.
Gabe Fogarty, ranked No. 2 in the nation at 165 pounds, rolled to a major decision win over MSUM junior
Shawn Porter by a score of 14-0 to push the Huskies' advantage to 17-7. The 174-pound contest was a competitive match before Clayton Jennissen outlasted MSUM junior
Conner Monk in a 4-1 decision to push the SCSU lead to 20-7.
The Huskies prevailed at 184 pounds as Dylon Braun beat MSUM senior
Matt Lewellen, 9-4. Dragon freshman
Tyler Schlosser fell to Chris Brassell, 4-1 at 197 and the Huskies wrapped up the win with as No. 4-ranked Austin Goergen pinned Dragon junior
Gerad Fugleberg in 1:55.
MSUM is off until Feb. 4 when it hosts crosstown rival Concordia-Moorhead.
