Virginia Duals WebsiteMOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team is resumes its 2015-16 season at the Virginia Duals in Hampton, Va. The Dragons will face the Apprentice School at 10 a.m. Central time on Friday morning as part of the opening round in the American College Division bracket.
If the Dragons (2-1) win their first match, they will face the winner of the Anderson-Ferrum match at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday in the semifinals. If MSUM loses, they will face the Anderson-Ferrum loser at noon CT on Friday in the consolation bracket.
The Apprentice School, located in Newport News, Va., is 6-2 in duals on the year.
The other half of the bracket features matches between Kutztown and Central Florida and Camden County and Liberty. The championship is scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
MSUM is ranked No. 7 in the latest Super Region 3 rankings from d2wrestle.com.

Blake Bosch is the top-ranked wrestler in the region at 133 pounds; he is 16-5 on the year. Junior
Garret Hoffner (12-4) is ranked fifth at 157 while redshirt freshman
Kristian Vazquez is ranked fifth at 141. Freshman
Dylan Connell (149) is 11-8 on the year while freshman
Adam Blees is 7-4 at 165.

Mike Urban led the way for the MSUM wrestling team at the 12th annual Dragon Open held on Dec. 4 at Nemzek Fieldhouse in Moorhead, Minn.
Bosch won at 133 pounds in the Red Division which included an 8-2 win over No. 3-ranked Joe Calderone in the championship match. Blees claimed the first tournament title of his collegiate career by winning the 165-Pound Red Division with a 4-0 mark, while Urban won the title at 184 pounds (Red Division) for his first tournament win of his collegiate career.

Garret Hoffner was third in the 157-pound class in the Red Division.
