MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead softball team will travel to West St. Paul, Minn. for the Dragon/Beaver Battle which begins on Thursday. l . The Dragons will play four nonconference games over two days at the West St. Paul Dome,, starting with games against Southwest Minnesota State (12 p.m.) and Concordia St. Paul (2 p.m.) on Thursday and games against Bemidji State (9:30 a.m.) and Concordia (11:30 a.m.) on Friday morning.
Last Time Out
The Dragons got the season started at the Minot State Tournament last weekend, where they picked up their first win of the season, an 11-7 win over the University of Providence (Mont.) The Dragons finished the season with a 1-3 record.

Aunica Novacek has a .455 batting average. The lone home run for the Dragons came off the bat of freshman Ashley McCance, who has a .333 average and has scored four runs. Johnson also leads the team with a .692 slugging percentage and four runs batted in.

Tori White leads the team with a 5.73 ERA in 7.1 innings pitched. Berth has pitched the most innings at 13.1, with a 5.78 earned run average and 10 strikeouts. The other pitcher for the Dragons is
Payton Gaber, who has pitched four innings for MSUM so far this season.

The Dragons will next travel to Clermont, Fla. For the NTC College Games. They will play 10 games over five days before beginning NSIC play on March 27 when they host Northern State, which will start an eight game homestand for MSUM.
