ORLANDO, Fla. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team picked up a 7-2 nonconference win over Seton Hill in action Wednesday in Orlando, Fla.
MSUM is now 9-2 in the regular season.
"Even though we were tired and sore from yesterday, the players dug deep and got a great win," MSUM head coach
Oliver Summers said. "We had good focus all-around."
MSUM swept the doubles, including a forfeit at No. 3. MSUM freshman
Julia Geske and sophomore
Olivia Keelin beat Seton Hill's Jenna Bailey and Cameron Beer, 8-6 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles Dragon freshman
Swenne Albert and sophomore
Alexis Konecne beat Ana Salazar and Kate Walch, 8-4.
Seton Hill won at No. 1 singles and No. 3 singles, while MSUM won by forfeit at No. 6 singles.
Keelin picked up a 6-4, 6-0 win over Beer at No. 2 singles for MSUM while sophomore
Alyssa Wolf def. Walch, 6-1, 6-0. Senior
Ricquel Ramsbottom def. Caitlyn Hiram, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5 singles for the Dragons.
MSUM wraps up the Florida trip against St. Francis at 6:30 p.m. Central time on Thursday in Orlando.
