MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead softball team resumes action with three Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheaders this week. The Dragons will play at St. Cloud State on Tuesday (1 p.m. doubleheader) before hosting Minnesota State at noon on Saturday and Concordia-St. Paul at noon on Sunday.
MSUM (10-18, 3-7 NSIC) split in its last action on April 12 against Minot State. The Dragons' doubleheaders against Augustana and Wayne State were cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
The Dragons' doubleheader vs. Northern State has been rescheduled for April 26 in Moorhead. MSUM will face Concordia College on April 24.
Sophomore outfielder
Madison Paige leads MSUM with a .367 average; she has eight doubles, a homer and a team-best 19 RBI. Freshman first baseman Ashley McCance is hitting .366 with three homers and 12 RBI while freshman pitcher Becky Berth is hitting .361 with three doubles and four RBI. Senior outfielder/infielder
Aunica Novacek has three homers and 14 RBI while junior second baseman Lexie Kennedy has two homers and 15 RBI. As a team the Dragons are hitting .283 with 11 homers and 108 RBI.
On the mound Berth is 6-8 with a 5.17 ERA while sophomore
Tori White is 3-6.
Kelsey Fehl is in her eighth season as the MSUM head coach.
About St. Cloud State
St. Cloud State is 25-14 and 11-7 NSIC. The Huskies split a pair of doubleheaders at home this past weekend against Winona State and Upper Iowa. Sophomore Maya Keating is hitting .400 while freshman Kylie Thomsen is hitting .342 with three homers and 16 RBI. Freshman Haley McFarlane leads SCSU with five homers and 26 RBI. As a team St. Cloud State is hitting .305 with 22 homers and 182.
On the mound junior Bradi Yost is 5-1 with a 1.42 ERA while Thomsen is 11-6 with a 3.24 ERA.
Paula U'Ren is in her 21st season as the SCSU head coach with a record of 672-462 at the school.
About Minnesota State
Minnesota State is 26-12 and 7-7 in the NSIC. The defending national champion Mavericks swept Bemidji State, 5-0 and 8-0 in their last action on April 13. Carly Esselman is hitting .458 with there homers and 44 RBI. Jess Meidl is hitting .435 with three homers while Torey Richards is hitting .395. Amber Kral is hitting .325 with seven homers and 38 RBI.
As a team the Mavericks are hitting .352 with 25 homers and 237 RBI.
Mackenzie Ward is 12-6 with a 2.67 ERA on the mound.

About Concordia-St. Paul
Concordia-St. Paul is 22-16 overall and 7-9 in the NSIC. The Golden Bears swept Minnesota Crookston on April 13 in their last action. Junior Carlie Hart is hitting .445 with three homers and 28 RBI while senior Nicole Thompson is hitting .439 with 18 RBI. As a team CSP is hitting .328 with 18 homers and 177 RBI.
On the mound sophomore Kali Kaestner is 7-5 with a 3.13 ERA while sophomore Aryka Knoche is 10-7 with a 3.71 ERA.
