Shyrone Kemp. Yusuf, coming off of an outstanding cross country season where he earned All-American honors, won the 5,000 meters at the NSIC Outdoor Championships last spring. He added All-NSIC honors in the 10,000 meters, an event which he also earned all-region honors.
Kemp finished runner-up in both the high jump and triple jump at the NSIC Outdoor Championships last spring to earn all-conference honors in both events.
Junior
Chris Cook returns after winning two NSIC championships in the high jump a year ago. He was All-American first team indoors in the event last year and was second-team All-American outdoors.
Seniors
Jonas Matzen (multis) and
Zach Sweep (high jump/hurdles) also will be key components of the team this season. Senior
Tyler Berby (triple jump) and
Elijah Herrick (distance) also are back. Senior
Nick Marshall had a good year in the 1,500 meters and will look to impact the distance events.
